The committees of Royal Canadian Legion John Bernard Croak VC Branch 003 play an important role in the operation of the Branch and in supporting Veterans, members and the community. Our committees are made up of volunteers who contribute their time, experience and energy to help keep the Branch active and successful.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee provides leadership and direction for the Branch and oversees its activities, programs and operations. The committee works together to ensure that the Branch continues to serve Veterans, members and the community.
Executive at Large
Executive members at large support the Branch Executive in carrying out the business of the Branch. They participate in meetings, assist with Branch activities and committees, and help represent the interests of members and the Branch community.
House & Grounds Committee
The House & Grounds Committee is responsible for helping maintain the Branch property and ensuring that the facilities are kept in good condition. The committee works on repairs, maintenance, improvements and other matters related to the Branch building and grounds.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee works to welcome new members, encourage membership renewals and keep members informed about the benefits and activities of the Royal Canadian Legion. The committee also helps promote membership within the community and supports the Branch in maintaining a strong and active membership.
Poppy Committee
The Poppy Committee coordinates the Branch’s annual Poppy Campaign and related remembrance activities. The committee works with volunteers and members to distribute poppies, organize collection efforts and support the Branch’s responsibility to remember and assist Veterans.
Entertainment Committee
The Entertainment Committee organizes dances, social events and other activities that bring members and the community together. The committee helps create opportunities for fellowship and enjoyment while supporting the activities and fundraising efforts of the Branch.
Air Cadet Committee
The Air Cadet Committee supports the Branch’s involvement with the local Air Cadet program. The committee helps maintain communication between the Branch and the cadets and supports activities that encourage youth development, leadership and community involvement.
Ways & Means / Fundraising Committee
The Ways & Means / Fundraising Committee organizes and supports fundraising activities for the Branch. The committee works to generate funds that help support Branch operations, programs, community activities and other initiatives.
Burial & Graves Committee
The Burial & Graves Committee assists with matters relating to the graves and burial needs of Veterans and members. The committee helps ensure that appropriate arrangements and Branch responsibilities are carried out with dignity and respect.
Honors & Awards Committee
The Honors & Awards Committee assists with the recognition of members and others who have made significant contributions to the Branch, Veterans and the community. The committee helps coordinate appropriate recognition and awards in keeping with Legion traditions.
Social Media and PR
The Social Media and PR Committee helps promote Royal Canadian Legion John Bernard Croak VC Branch 003, its activities, events and community involvement. The committee helps keep members and the community informed through the Branch’s website, social media and other communications.
